Brendan Rodgers takes his side on the road for their next two games, convinced that the first away victory of the season is just around the corner
15 of the Swans 17 points to date have been secured at the Liberty Stadium and whilst their position is enough to stay up by some distance at the moment, it would make life much easier for the Swans if they could secure some victories on their travels.
Points at Wolves and Liverpool have been sandwiched around defeats at Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Norwich and Blackburn which probably makes the away record sound worse than it really is but Brendan knows that if his side could pick up something at either Newcastle (Sat) or Everton (Wed) then they would be in an even stronger position come Christmas Day to secure an extended stay in the Premier League.
โI do feel the away points are coming, that win is coming” said Rodgers.
โThe victory over Fulham does not lift the pressure off us because we are very determined to get away points on the board. But this will give us great confidence going into those two games.
โWe are looking for that first win. We know every game in this league is very tough, whether itโs home or away, but we have played well away from home a number of times.
โNow we need to bring that consistency on the small details. If we do that then Iโm confident we will get a result in one of the two games.”
