Alan Pardew says he wants his side to play at a high tempo as he prepares to welcome Swansea to the ground formerly known as St James Park
Pardew saidย “We want our tempo to be high โ we want to be at full pace
“We are going to have to be very patient against Swansea.
“They can take tempo out of the game, and that’s something we don’t want to do. We are the other side of that.
“We will expose ourselves at times because we want to push the proceedings,” he added.
“I’ll be honest, Brendan plays more of an open game than I do.
“He expands the pitch a little bit more and therefore he encourages his players to keep the ball.
“They get you into a lull and then pick you off.”
