Ashley Williams was hailing the young Swansea defence which kept it’s 8th clean sheet of the season at Newcastle on Saturday
Williams, Steve Caulker, Neil Taylor and Jazz Richards held strong to keep Newcastle at bay for 90 minutes to earn the Swans another valuable point on their quest for Premier League safety.
And after the game, Williams saidย โJazz hasnโt got loads of experience but heโs doing an excellent job at right-back.
โMe and Tayls have been there all season and itโs been going well.
โCaulks is only 19 but heโs an absolute beast, heโs got a lot to learn like we all have but he is a great player.
โHe is such a big lad and for someone of 19 to be that brave on the ball in the Premier League takes a lot of courage.
โI thought Demba Ba was excellent. He was quick, had a good touch and you can see he is very clever in the way that he plays,โ added Williams.
โAs a centre-half itโs always pleasing to get a clean sheet and especially when it comes on the road.
โIt was a resilient display and they are the type of games you need in a campaign if you are going to do well.โ
โWe didnโt playย our normal stuff but we dug in, made it very hard for them and deserved a point in the end.โ
