Josh McEachran is looking to push on from his first Swans start against Norwich
McEachran came into the side for the injured Joe Allen in the Swans 3-2 defeat to Norwich at the Liberty Stadium. ย That was only his second Premier League start and whilst he was disappointed in the result he is looking to push on from it and get more action for the Swans.
โIt was good to get my first start, even if it was disappointing we lost against Norwich,โMcEachran told the Western Mail. โBut I was pleased with my performance and I thought I did well and the team did well in parts.
โBut the important thing now is that hopefully I can push on from it.
โThe FA Cup game against Bolton was only my second 90 minutes in two or three months so I know my match fitness is not quite there.
โIn the Norwich game there were times it was hard to get into it because my fitness wasnโt at 100%. I still thought I did okay, but I feel I will get to my best when I get sharper.
โThe training intensity is really good here so I donโt think it will be a problem and in a few more matches Iโll get there.
โBrendanโs been a big help since I came here,โ said McEachran. โHeโs not gone into detail about my performances, but everyoneโs been great to help me settle.
โHeโs done really well at Swansea, getting the club promoted and how theyโve done since.
โAll over England, people canโt believe how well Swansea are doing. Everyone wants to playย with the same style and itโs good for the club he signed the new contract recently.โ
