Bale – We Had To Be At Our Best

Gareth Bale says that Spurs had to be at their best to defeat the Swans at the Lane yesterday

“We had to work so hard because the way Swansea keep the ball is unbelievable. They have been fantastic this season, but we showed our true class and what attacking class we have.

“We finished well.

“We showed what we can do on the pitch against a great footballing side like Swansea and hopefully that will put pressure on the others.

“Because both me and Younes (Kaboul) said in the dressing room afterwards we’re back and playing well.

“We saw the results on Saturday and we knew what a massive win it was for QPR to beat Arsenal.

“That gave us the opportunity to get back level with Arsenal and now hopefully we can go above them in the table.”
