Brendan Rodgers left the Reebok Stadium knowing that the Swans deserved to win the game against Bolton
Rodgers said: “We deserved to win – but at this level a point away from home is worth a lot.
“And if you can’t win games, you make sure you don’t lose them.
“But I thought we were outstanding in a terrific game. There was a bit of tension and anxiety around the game because of Bolton’s situation, but I thought we were excellent and created enough chances to win it.
“Scott scored a fantastic goal and then conceded a disappointing one from our perspective.
“But I thought our reaction was brilliant and we showed no fear – we kept pushing forward and being creative and on another day we would have had three or four goals.
“Bolton are a brilliant club who have been through a lot over the last couple of months and another team may have folded under the pressure we put them under,” he added.
“But we kept going and some of offensive game was really exciting and we just lacked that little bit of luck.
“It has not been difficult to motivate these players.
“We need to be at our maximum at all times at this level because the league is so tough.
“But we’ve had a great consistency to our performances.”
The draw makes it two without defeat after that run of four straight losses that brought much criticism.
And the Northern Irishman said: “It was a little blip, but the reaction shows the mentality we have here and the improvement of these players.”
