Michael Laudrup will take his side to the States this weekend hoping to have added two more faces to it by then
Laudrup made his first two signings last week with the addition of Chico Flores and Jonathan de Guzman.
But he is on the hunt for more and with the pre-season tour starting next weekend he wants to try and get people in before he jets off.
He said: “We are looking to bring others in. I don’t want to mention names yet and we’ll try and do it quietly.
“I’m happy with the two we’ve got in so far, but we are working on others.
“An ideal world doesn’t exist in football, but the best case would be for us to do it before we go to America – and we’re working on that.
“There is a lot of things to consider because you have the player and the club and a lot of things have to come together before we can make the signings.
“But it would be great if we could hopefully do that before the US. It is possible.
“I wanted to come here and give players a chance to see what they’ve got.
“I’ve watched a lot of the DVDs, but the majority of the time the same 14 or 15 players played 90% of games, so there are some players I’ve not seen very much and I want to give everyone a chance.
“Like always, we know football and there can only be 11 who start and 18 who are in squad so we will have to make choices.
“But in the first few weeks I’d like to watch everybody and give them a chance and then make some decisions.
“There will be some positions where we will have to see if we have too many players.
“We must be honest and have a chat with some players so they know their situation.
“Some players have a contract and will want to say, but you have to inform them – later on – the position they might be in.
“If you have four players in one position and he is the fourth you have to tell him so he can make his mind up whether to go out on loan or to another club.
“But that’s not now, that’s for a couple of weeks.”
