Swans Await Europa League Fate

We are seeded in Group 2 of the draw which means our opponents will be one of the teams unseeded in that section who will be one of the following: –

Appollon Limassol from Cyprus, Atromitos from Greece, FC Aktobe from Kazakhstan, FH Hafnarfjรƒยถrdur from Iceland or FC Petrolul Ploieร…ลธt from Romania

From here you would have to fancy our chances of progression to the group stage of the competition as I believe the Swans would have more than enough to get past against any of the teams that we could possibly face.

There are five former winners in this stage of the competition – Spurs, Dynamo Kiev, Fiorentina, Feyenoord and Sevilla.

Ties will be played on 22 and 29 August and the draw for the group stage will take place in Monaco on 30 August.
