Monk’s team have now won 7 of their last 8 games stretching back to last season – not bad considering all the doom and gloom that floated around Swansea after his appointment. We have also managed those wins with a mixture of gritty performances and stylish wins like today where simply West Brom had no answer to our attacking prowess.
รขโฌลWe know what we are and we’re not trying to be something else, even when we are where we are in the league
รขโฌลTrying to get to that 40 point barrier as quick as possible will always be our target. It is only our fourth year in the Premier League and expectations come with winning games, but we have to get there as soon as possible.
รขโฌลWe will reassess things when we get to that point but right now my only concern is the next game. We have to prepare our best and give a good account of ourselves.รขโฌย
Monk also added at the end of the interview that he believes international recognition should come the way of his players and this is a viewpoint now gathering momentum having been discussed on Sky Sports this afternoon as well.
And if we keep winning games then they surely cannot be ignored much longer?
