Let’s take nothing away from Garry Monk following his excellent first season in management but there really is no comparison between managing a club that you have been part of for more than ten years and managing a club that you have no allegiance to and a club who has a reputation for letting managers go on an extremely frequent basis.
It really is a nothing story and one that will be dismissed by Swansea fans without worrying if there is any substance in it. Will West Ham be impressed by the management of Monk? Yes, of course they will be but there really is no chance of Monk swapping his current job for a role at Upton Park and no level of journalistic sources are needed to tell you that.

Mind you having already seen them linked in the press with Jurgen Klopp and Carlos Ancelotti it is no wonder that the ‘never going to happen’ list gets longer and longer but this one is a complete non story and you can quite happily quote me as much as you want on that front.
