Can Swans Beat Off Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle For Ayew?

Redknapp tweeted yesterday that he heard the deal was close to being completed as the player and his agent were heading to Swansea for a medical

The Ghana captain – who scored 10 in 29 games last season for the French side – is reported to be putting pen to paper and turn down the chance of joining either West Ham or Newcastle in favour of the Swans.

Heard Swansea are close to signing Andre Ayew from Marseille. He's on the way there with his agent Mark Mackay to do the deal. Good player.

The Evening Post though reports that the deal may not be as close as we are led to believe with the player also interesting Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle.

The Swans are currently being linked with plenty of striker moves but this is definitely a player that interests us but whether we gain his signature remains to be seen
