It was a perfect way to celebrate a 50th cap for the World’s most expensive footballer in front of a sell out crowd at the Cardiff City stadium that not only gives Wales the perfect chance of qualification for next summer but will also do their world rankings and World cup qualification hopes the biggest of boosts.
You would assume from here that two wins from the last four could be enough to take Wales through to a first major finals since 1958 and only the second time ever.
Three Swans were in the side for the evening – captain Ashley WIlliams and also Neil Taylor and Jazz Richards and whilst there is much work left to be done, you cannot help but think this is our time and finally all those near misses and the bad memories that go with them can be put to bed and forgotten
