Davies, who moved last summer as part of the deal that saw Michel Vorm also go with Gylfi Sigurdsson coming this way, failed to nail down a regular spot in the Spurs first team last season and missed the end of the season with a shoulder injury.
He was a Sky Sports pundit watching on last weekend as Wales beat Belgium 1-0 and it isn’t really known whether he will grab a regular first team spot this coming season.
That has led the papers clearly to speculate over the short term future of a player who – like Jazz Richards our end – will need first team football as much as possible next term with Wales likely to secure a place in the European Championship finals next summer.
Interestingly, Crystal Palace have also been linked with a move for Jazz and it does seem unlikely to me that both will move to Selhurst Park and I do wonder as well whether the potential availability of Ben may also alert us to a potential loan move as well although the form of Neil Taylor at the end of last season earned him a new contract to keep him at the Liberty.
Taylor was also the subject of a bid from Crystal Palace in the last transfer window.
