The Swans captured the signing of Ayew last week – beating off the competition from a host of other clubs including several in the Premier League to grab the signature of a signing that was said to “show intent”
And with the Swans securing an 8th place position last season with a record Premier League points haul then Gomis believes that this signature could be enough to give them the push to go onto the next level.
“At Swansea we play good football. It took me a little time to adapt but my late season was convincing. The Premier League is the best league in the world. It’s another culture, another way of understanding football,” said Gomis.
“Last season, we beat Arsenal twice and Manchester United twice; that is not average.
“It is a demanding championship.
“Finishing in the top half of the table is our goal but after that we can look at the Europa League and the recent arrival of Andre Ayew is good for this purpose.”
