The Swans are certainly keen to strengthen their squad this summer and the arrival of this player would certainly increase the strength in depth of the squad although it could open the door for a departure of one of our existing midfielders.
It is reported that Cigarini would be available for a fee of around £4.5m which when you consider the amounts being quoted this summer for the likes of Jordan Rhodes or Troy Deeney would on the face of it seem to be a shrewd piece of business and on that basis this one could have some substance in it unlike some of the other rumours that are floating about at the moment.
I think it is also safe to say that I am not sure I can remember a summer like this one with the Swans being linked with so many players and that is probably a further indication of how well we have established ourselves in the Premier League which leads us to be linked with what appears to be on the face of it some very good players.
