Mark Sampson was part of the coaching staff at the Centre of Excellence for two years under Roberto Martinez and oversaw the programme for players in the 9-16 year group.
He lists his own responsibilities at that times as
* Develop, communicate and review delivery of new technical syllabus
* Assist with coaching of YTS Players on a daily basis
* Co-ordinate coach continual professional development (CPD)
* Lease with key partners to develop links for COE
* Report progress on regular basis to Head of Youth
The England team beat Canada 2-1 to reach their first ever semi final in the World Cup where they will face holders Japan later this week for a place in the final.
Speaking upon confirming the appointment of Sampson in December 2013, FA Director of Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking said: รขโฌลMark is an outstanding manager with a tremendous passion and commitment to drive the game forward in this country.
