To be the best….

The fixture pile up is getting hard now and the Swans go into the first of 3 games in 9 days where trips to Norwich and West Brom will be followed by the small matter of a FA Cup quarter final against Manchester City making this by far the toughest week of the season to date,

Norwich have been near the top of the table since pretty much Day 1 and gave us a hiding at the Liberty earlier this season which, when you factor in our miserable away form does not bode well this evening as we kick off the latest round of Championship fixtures in front of the Sky TV cameras.

There are now just eight weeks left of the league season and, assuming we don’t progress in the FA Cup, we have 13 games to fit in during that time which means on average a game every 3-4 days that will test the full depth of the squad even more so when you factor in an international break in two weeks time.

We haven’t won away from home since New Year’s Day and come into this game on the back of three straight road defeats which everyone expects to turn into four this evening given the form and league position of our opponents.

Norwich will make a late call on midfielder Todd Cantwell who is back in training after a thigh injury, while defender Ivo Pinto is available after a foot problem. For us, Leroy Fer and Joe Rodon are still not fit so Graham Potter is likely to feature a largely unchanged side.

Our three bets to watch

1. There is no value in the winner tonight we don’t believe unless you fancy us to win so we are looking at Norwich to win with plenty. They have an unnerving habit of scoring 3 or more, we have an inability at times to defend away from home so at 4/1 for Norwich to score 3.5 or more seems to say value.

2. Ollie McBurnie remains a man in goalscoring form and has 16 to his name this season. Not saying he would be first today but at 37/20 to score at anytime for a man with his form I would say that has to be worth a couple of ร‚ยฃ

3. Everyone loves a long shot and given Norwich being on good form, them no doubt fancying a nice win tonight and us potentially being under the cosh why not think red cards. Mike Van Der Hoorn at 40/1 is a possibility and a bit of fun into the mix.

Swansea City 0-1 Millwall – limp Swans end with a whimper
