Cliches galore as Cooper prepares for Luton

Steve Cooper was a man full of cliches as he prepared for the visit of Luton Town to the Liberty this Saturday as the Swans return to the Liberty for the first time in sixteen weeks.

It will be a strange environment for the team playing in front of an empty stadium but with an excellent 3-0 win behind us at Middlesbrough last weekend, confidence should be high in the squad as we go into the match as one of seven teams chasing the last play off spot – just three points separating those teams.

And on the backdrop of that setup ahead of the weekend, the cliches were strong from Cooper as he spoke to the cameras in a remote press conference.

โ€œI think the picture will change like it did last weekend. You can easily look at what else is going on, but youโ€™ve got to look after yourselves” said the Swans boss.

The Swans should be clear favourites to keep up the excellent form of last weekend with Luton arriving at the Liberty rooted to the bottom of the Championship but as Cooper says, form is currently just over one game –ย โ€œThereโ€™s no real rhythm to the games yet because weโ€™ve only played one. This Saturday will be no different.

โ€œWeโ€™re at home, yes, thereโ€™s no fans, but weโ€™re in familiar surroundings. Weโ€™re right at the back end of the season with so much to play for.โ€

The game at the Liberty kicks off at 12.30pm
