Jones wary of Swansea threats

Nathan Jones is preparing his Luton side for the visit of the Swans to Kenilworth Road on Saturday lunchtime and he spoke today of the threats he sees in the Swansea camp as we go to Bedfordshire looking for the points that will keep the pressure on at the top of the table.

A win for the Swans on Saturday could well see us end the day in the Championship top two with Watford heading in the opposite direction to face Cardiff.

As Jones faced the press today he described the Swans as “well organised and solid” and talked about some of the players he sees as key threats to his side including ‘Premier League striker’ Andre Ayew who is the Swans top scorer this season with 14.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve got good players, theyโ€™re not just well organised and solid, theyโ€™ve got some excellent players, they have paid the money and theyโ€™ve got a Premier League striker in Andre Ayew.

โ€œJamal Lowe is doing very well for them and theyโ€™ve taken someone from the Premier League in terms of Conor Hourihane, so they’ve got excellent players, theyโ€™re a decent footballing side that have got real threats.

โ€œThe away game was a real tough game we conceded early which kind of put us on the back foot and then we were probably the better team for large periods of the game until the sending off and even then, we still pushed and pushed. It is going to be a good game, but itโ€™s a tough game, we know that.

โ€œSwansea are doing really well, if they play well and are fluent, they can score and hurt you, when theyโ€™re not, theyโ€™re grinding out results, so theyโ€™re proving to be a very, very adequate Championship side.โ€

The game at Kenilworth Road kicks off at 12.15pm and will feature on Sky Sports.
