Swansea City Ladies moved five points clear at the top of the WPWL yesterday with a 2-0 win over Briton Ferry at Old Road thanks to second half goals from Chloe Chivers and Ellie Lake.

The Ladies kept up their 100% record this season with a ninth straight win and continue a winning run that now extends to two years.

Once again the Swans were the side with all the pressure in the game but they were always threatened by a counter attack from the home side and had to wait until the hour mark to score the decisive break through goal.

Chloe Chivers was the one on target as she chipped the ball delicately over the onrushing keeper to give the Swans the lead that their play had again deserved.

Ellie Lake scored the second with 15 minutes remaining when she struck from 30 yards to double the Swans advantage and extend their lead at the top of the table to the five points over Cardiff Met.

The Swans face Cardiff Met on 21st April with Sgorio showing the game live across all their online channels with a 7.30pm kick off next up though they are away to Port Talbot on Sunday.
