We could be the form team?

The play-offs are just around the corner and Bournemouth, Brentford and Barnsley will all be thinking the same as the Swans that the remaining two games of the season are there to make them the form team going into the play-offs.

Brentford’s 1-0 win over Rotherham yesterday evening put them into pole position to secure 3rd place again and know that one more win will be enough to ensure that position and a fixture against the side that comes 6th.

Below them though the Swans, Barnsley and Bournemouth are all separated by just goal difference and will be using the last two games to create a good run of form ahead of whoever their play off semi final opponents are.

A home game against Derby and a visit to Watford will not automatically scream two wins for the Swans but four points from those two games will always be seen as a good return on points and give us a good boost ahead of the start of the play offs on 17th May.

It is a rare position this season that everything has been decided so early and can create that chance for momentum as detailed by captain Matt Grimesย โ€œMomentum is important. If we can get two good results in the two remaining games then that stands us in good stead for the play-offs,โ€ he said.

โ€œWe were disappointed to lose out in the semis last season, but weโ€™ll look to go one step further this time.

โ€œOur performances and results havenโ€™t been consistent of late, so we need to get to the levels we know we can produce and see where it takes us.

โ€œItโ€™s job done in terms of getting into the play-offs, but now we have to finish the season strongly before going into that.โ€
