Cooper can’t wait for fans return against Barnsley

By this time next week the fans will have returned to the Liberty in the second leg of the play off semi final.ย  In just under two weeks time we could be at Wembley where the prize on offer is a place in the Premier League.ย  There is just the small matter of Monday evening in the way first.

Steve Cooper is putting the final touches to his preparations ahead of Monday night but is most looking forward to welcoming the fans back to the Liberty next Saturday.

โ€œWe canโ€™t wait to get back in front of our supporters. It will be great to see them again,โ€ he said.

โ€œBut we will also be thinking of the ones who couldnโ€™t get in because of the restrictions, so it isnโ€™t a complete return yet.

โ€œWhether we were at home first or second leg, we hope that having our fans back can help us along the way.

โ€œI donโ€™t think thereโ€™s any one way of getting through to the final, whether you play at home or away in the first or second leg.

โ€œIt will be slightly different because a lot of the players havenโ€™t played in front of supporters for a while.

โ€œA lot of our fans havenโ€™t seen some of our players live. But thatโ€™s a positive thing. Weโ€™ve missed them, and I’m sure theyโ€™ve missed coming. Weโ€™ve got to make sure we all enjoy being back together.โ€
