Staples led his side to an unbeaten league season last time around as well as a cup victory in a season confused by the lockdown caused by global pandemic but ultimately it was as successful as any season that has gone before for the Ladies team.

At the end of last season, Staples talked about the Swansea City ‘family’ as he reflected backwards sayingย โSwansea City has been like a second family for me. It has been a difficult season for me personally off the pitch.
โThe Ladies have really been a great support and, on behalf of myself and my wife, I would like to thank them for what they have done for me.
โNow we are looking forward to next season to do it all again.โ
On behalf of all fans of the Ladies team we would like to thank Colin for his work at the club and wish him many happy times with his other team!ย We sent those best wishes to Colin and received this in reply
