EFL Championship – Now six Boxing Day fixtures cancelled

The Swans Boxing Day postponement at Millwall now takes the amount of games already called off in the Championship to six.ย  As expected, the EFL Championship is now seeing Boxing Day fixtures decimated with six games currently postponed due to Covid-19 and more expected to also fall victim over the next 24 hours.

To date the following games are all postponed
Barnsley v Stoke City
Cardiff City v Coventry City
Fulham v Birmingham
Millwall v Swansea City
Peterborough v Reading
Preston v Sheffield United

The games join two Premier League fixtures (Liverpool v Leeds and Wolves v Watford) in being postponed.

Four matches in League One and six in league two have also been postponed.

With further Covid testing taking place at clubs today then it is expected that more games will be postponed.
