Confirmed Teams

Stoke City

Russell Martin: “He’s [Naughton] a loss for us. I don’t think people appreciate how good he is until you come in and train with him every day,” Martin told WalesOnline.

“I did because I played with him and he took my place in the team at Norwich and I had to re-invent myself as a centre-half.

“When I came here he’s surprised me again. The players love Naughts. He’ll be a loss for us but hopefully he won’t be too much longer. Tuesday will be too soon.”

Michael O’Neill: “They had a new manager at the start of the season and thereโ€™s a difference in their style of play. Theyโ€™re very, very focused on possession of the ball. The possession statistics are consistently very high. We have to be take care of the ball ourselves because if you arenโ€™t, then you struggle to get it back.

โ€œWe have to be very good without the ball too. We were very good without the ball at Swansea, played well and won the game. The objective is the same.

โ€œThey will be a little further developed than early in the season when Russell wasnโ€™t long in the job and hadnโ€™t had a huge amount of time to impose his style of play and thoughts on the players.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve signed some players who have added to their in that period as well.”
