Man City man could be here next season too

On loan defender Finley Burns could have his loan spell at the club extended by a season after joining in January from Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The 18 year old made his league debut last week against Bristol City and impressed, looking solid and delivering a high pass percentage (95.4%) – something which will no doubt please his boss Russell Martin.

Whether he stays longer than the initial six months depends on the Man City view of his progression by the end of the season, much like the deal when we signed Marc Guehi from Chelsea.

Hopefully Burns will go on to replicate the success of Guehi at the Swansea.com Stadium rather than that of Liverpool loanee Rhys Williams, who returned in January.

It is thought that the centre half will again start at Sheffield United tomorrow in an unchanged defence.
