We know who’s going to be part of the future, and not

Russell Martin says that whilst he is open to players changing his mind in the remainder of the season, he knows who is in his plans for the club after the summer transfer window.

The Swans boss recently said that there’ll be considerable change come the summer in terms of personnel and it seems like he now has a clear idea of who is going to be part of his long term vision at the club.

Interestingly he also said in his latest interview that he feels some of the players will struggle under the pressure that his methods will demand.

Everybody is clearly playing for their futures one way or another and it’ll be an interesting end to the season; hopefully with Swansea finding some form to take into next season after very mixed fortunes this campaign.

“With a transfer window six [away], or four months or whatever it is, players are always playing for their futures,” Martin told Wales Online.

“Whether they’re trying to progress or try to salvage something, a contract at their club or trying to get a move.

“Everyone is trying to prove that all the time.

“In terms of here… .I’m really open to being surprised, but I think we know who we want and who’s going to be part of that.

“Maybe someone will surprise us from now until the end of the season.

“What you end up with is guys who are desperate to be a part of it and do it brilliantly.

” There will be guys desperate to do it that won’t quite get there, unfortunately, and there will be some guys where it’ll be just too much to do.”
