Wales star Gareth Bale could be set to move to Getafe on a free transfer amid speculation he would join Cardiff City.
The former Real Madrid man is out of contract and after Wales’ qualification for the World Cup is looking to keep fit for the games in Qatar this winter.
Speculation in the Daily Mail had even linked Bale with a move to the Swans in recent days but Getafe look to now be in pole position to land the Welshman.
It would make sense with Getafe just thirty minutes from Madrid meaning that Bale’s family wouldn’t even need to move.

With thanks to Risc on the Planet Swans forum for the link – the tweet from Getafe links to the infamous “Wales, Golf, Madrid” flag.
Since that tweet, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano shared comments from Bale’s agent amid the speculation:

It looks like there will be a conclusion soon enough as to where Wales’ star man will spend next season.
