The Swans will head to Oxford United in the first round of the Carabao Cup after this afternoon’s draw.
The tie will take place on week commencing the 8th of August and will provide a stern test for Russell Martin’s men.
Of course Swans fans will remember the last visit to Oxford in the FA Cup in 2016 as caretaker manager Alan Curtis oversaw a shock 3-2 defeat.
That day saw Kemar Roofe, now of Rangers score twice for Oxford whilst Jefferson Montero and Bafetimbi Gomis both got on the scoresheet in a game remembered much for the pitiful displays by Franck Tabanou and Jonjo Shelvey.
The rest, as they say, is history. But there will hopefully be a better showing this time out compared to the last visit…
