Swans expected to confirm a double signing

Yesterday afternoon’s news that the Swans were set to confirm the capture of Wolves midfielder Luke Cundle and are expected to double down on the loan signings as well with the confirmation that West Ham winger Armstrong Oko-Flex also expected to be a Swans player before the midweek visit to Stoke City.

Add to that our speculation earlier today about Leeds defender Cody Dramehย  and it could yet end up a good week for the Swans and Russell Martin after what feels like has been a particularly quiet transfer window.

Cundle is expected to be confirmed as a Swans player before Wednesday’s trip to Stoke and it is expected that Oko-Flex will also be confirmed as a Swansea player before that time after sources close to West Ham confirmed that he was set for a move to SA1.

The double signing will provide a strong boost for a manager under pressure thanks to his side’s early season position in the bottom three of the Championship and from the fans perspective also give some levels of optimism that creativity could be on the way to the squad.

And if we were able to add the name of Cody Drameh later this week then that would increase the enthusiasm even more even if it did mean the departure of a key name within the squad to help provide the finances for the deal.

20 year old Oko-Flex is exceptionally highly rated at the London Stadium and the Swans capture of him should be commended (assuming there are no last minute hitches) – he was free scoring in PL2 last season and Football London’s West Ham correspondent Tom Clark said earlier this year โ€œI do think will do something special at some point.โ€

Swans fans will naturally hope that those special things will be for us.

Both signings are expected to be confirmed within the next 48 hours – we await to see whether the increased speculation on Drameh unfolds our way this week.
