And Pedersen makes three…former Birmingham defender to sign on in SA1

As the Swans head towards the season opener against Birmingham City next weekend it will be the name of Kristian Pedersen who is the third new arrival in SA1 next week joining Carl Rushworth and Harrison Ashby as the new arrivals in Swansea.

Pedersen spent four years at St. Andrews where the Dane was a regular in the Blues side, making 161 appearances for the club in total, and even carrying a slight goal threat, with nine goals and seven assists to his name during those matches.

Last summer though he departed the Midlands and signed for Bundesliga side FC Koln but he made just six appearances last season for the club although it was a season hampered by injury which curtailed his time following the resumption after the World Cup break.

He will sign on at Swansea and go straight into consideration for next weekend’s game against his former club although it seems more likely a place on the bench would be the start of his Swansea career.

28 year old Pedersen has one cap for his native Denmark.

This morning we reported that bothย Rushworth and Ashby to signon next week as the transfer activity in the Swansea.com Stadium increases and the Swans continue their rebuild ahead of the new season.
