Swans and Cardiff City both moving for Nottingham Forest man

Jonathan Panzo appears to have a destination in front of him that reads South Wales.ย  The problem for Swansea City fans is that it is not yet known if its for a permanent move to SA1 or a loan move to rivals Cardiff City.

Either way Panzo could be heading to a derby day debut on September 16th with the question to be answered is whether he will feature in that in a white or a blue shirt.

The Swans did seem at the head of any queue earlier this week for Panzo who has been linked with a move to SA1 in the past.ย  Our advantage is an ability to make the move a permanent one something which cannot be done at Cardiff due to their transfer embargo.

Wales Online report that “The Bluebirds have held advanced talks with the 22-year-old centre-half and hope to get a loan deal over the line before the closure of the summer transfer window.”

In typical Wales Online style as well they add “Panzo himself is understood to be veering towards a move to Cardiff and has been hugely impressed by the vision shown by Bluebirds boss Erol Bulut.”

Both sides in South Wales are in need of defensive strengthening with the Swans still facing into the possibility of Nathan Wood leaving during this window amidst Southampton interest while Cardiff have parted company with Jack Simpson recently adding to their need to strengthen.

Panzo had a successful loan spell at Coventry last season and was linked earlier this window with a permanent move to the Sky Blues as well as a move to Rangers as well.

The desire to complete a permanent move may determine the outcome of this particular transfer but, as ever, time will tell.
