Swans move for Peterborough defender

Swansea City are said to have had a bid rejected for Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards.

The bid, which is said to have been turned down, was revealed by Sky Sports reporter James Savundra.

England youth international Edwards has heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer and interest from West Ham is persisting on transfer deadline day with the Hammers supposedly having made an enquiry this week for the player.

The tweet goes onto say that he remains a Peterborough player “for now” although it is unknown if the Swans will be back with a higher bid for Edwards.ย  However, with a reported ยฃ10m asking price it seems unlikely that we would get anywhere near that assuming that figure is correct and not just media speculation!
