Swansea City fought but ultimately came out second best against a strong Ipswich team in Suffolk this afternoon.

The Swans took the lead but two quickfire goals put the 2nd place team ahead before a second half penalty made the lead comfortable.

The job was made harder for the Swans as Liam Cullen saw red before Jamal Lowe scored in injury time to give Duff’s men a chance.

Alas it was not to be.

  1. Swans are desperate for a striker. Jerry Yates works hard and will run all day but in my opinion he is clearly out of his depth in this league and is no threat to defenders.

  2. Yates needs a supply line preferably two tricky speedy wingers and definitely an incisive midfield The midfield is very sluggish primarily because Grimes holds up attacking play allowing the opposition to regroup and spoil attacks Yates scored because Bowler(on loan at Cardiff!!!!!) supplied him with ammunition.
The defence is young and naive in many instances going to sleep at the wrong time
All in all Duff is correct its a 90 minute game and we see good periods but interspersed with bad periods as well
