Rushworth takes the main gongs as the Swans hand out their end of season awards

Carl Rushworth was a predictable winner of the main awards for the men’s team at the end of season awards dinner last night which was held at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Rushworth took home the prizes for the player’s player, supporter’s player and player of the season for the men’s team after a hugely impressive season between the sticks at the club.

On-loan from Brighton and wanted to be here again next season, Rushworth has also found himself linked with the England Euro 2024 squad as a possibility such has been the extent of his performances since arriving here on a season long loan last summer.

Rushworth has kept ten clean sheets in what has been a particularly testing season for the club as a whole and continues his development as a goalkeeper following loan spells in both League Two and League One over the two preceding seasons.

The Swans are keen to bring him back for a second term next season but as yet no formal agreement has been announced.
