Swansea City are set to move into the loan market for a keeper to provide cover for Andy Fisher’s injury with DC United goalkeeper Tyler Miller reported to be set for that move to SA1.

DC United of course have several links to the Swans with their ownership group being headed by Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan who hold the titles of co-Chairman.   Further links on the group include Romie Chaudhari, Jake Silverstein and Bobby Hernreich all of whom have had involvement here since the takeover in 2016.    You can probably almost even draw an assumption that the ownership group at DC United has more common links than just those mentioned.

Anyway, back to the football and the target Miller who has been at DC United since 2023 and also a previous spell with Zweibrucken.

He has been included in USA squads for internationals but has not yet been capped.  He underwent shoulder surgery last year to repair a torn rotator cuff.

The Swans have been heavily linked with Carl Rushworth for a return loan spell this summer but after the capture of Lawrence Vigouroux earlier on in the window it seems that attention has turned more to a back up rather than someone who would expect to be first choice.

Miller is anticipated to be signing on within the next few days taking the total captures so far in this window to seven following the arrival this week of Nelson Abbey and Florian Bianchini who were both confirmed yesterday following the reports breaking 24 hours earlier.

Been watching the Swans since the very late 1970s and running the Planet Swans website (in all its current and previous guises since the summer of 2001 As it stood JackArmy.net was right at the forefront of some of the activity against Tony Petty back in 2001, breaking many of the stories of the day as fans stood against the actions where the local media failed. Was involved with the Swans Supporters Trust from 2005, for the large part as Chairman before standing down in the summer of 2020.
