Palace along with Birmingham are in an ever extending queue to try and get Sinclair on loan although it is reported that Chelsea may wait before finalising their Champions League squad before they consider letting him go on loan.
That squad is not due until January 21 which could mean a move towards the end of the transfer window.
Warnock though claims that should Sinclair come on loan it will be Palace as his preferred destination as he told the Croydon Advertiser โWe are quietly confident about getting Scott Sinclair. Weโve spoken to his agent and he has told me that we are Scottโs number one choice should he decide to go out on loan.โ
The paper also states “Eagles boss Neil Warnock has kept close tabs on Sinclair all season after the 20-year-old impressed at Selhurst Park during a loan spell at the back end of the previous campaign.
However, Warnock has fired blanks in his attempts to bring the player back to SE25, something the Yorkshireman puts down to Chelseaโs continued involvement in the Carling Cup a competition where the Blues traditionally blood their talented youngsters.”
