The Swans travel to Norwich City on Saturday for the latest in their Championship encounters and are trying to put the disappointment of the Carling Cup defeat behind them.
And Ferrie is as typically focused on that task as he ever was despite comments yesterday that the Swans had an agreement with him that they would not stand in his way should a big club come calling.
But thatย was not a topic of discussion for the Swans midfielder who told today’s Western Mail “I have seen what he said but Iโm not sure with the details โ they are questions for my agent.
โI am playing my football and enjoying my football and thatโs all that matters at the moment.
โEveryone wants to play at the highest level, no-one wants to spend the rest of their life in League Two, League One or the Championship; you want to play at the highest level you can
โBut we can achieve that here. If we keep going like this and keep the sprit to go with the quality, we have enough to go there.
โI am not the stand-out player, we are playing well and everyone is playing well as individuals and as part of the team. Thatโs why so many people are coming to see us and are curious at whatโs happening at the Liberty. It is because we are playing well as a team.
โAnd it is the same when you hear of interest from other clubs โ if we were at the bottom nobody would be mentioning our names. That is why I do not look into any of this and I am just concentrating on my football because I am playing well.
โBut I can do better and the team is playing well but deserves more points than we have.
โTuesday was disappointing for us because we wanted to get into the quarters, but that didnโt happen and we will forget about it and move on.โ
