And Ferrie is as typically focused on that task as he ever was despite comments yesterday that the Swans had an agreement with him that they would not stand in his way should a big club come calling.
But that was not a topic of discussion for the Swans midfielder who told today’s Western Mail “I have seen what he said but I’m not sure with the details – they are questions for my agent.
“I am playing my football and enjoying my football and that’s all that matters at the moment.
“Everyone wants to play at the highest level, no-one wants to spend the rest of their life in League Two, League One or the Championship; you want to play at the highest level you can
“But we can achieve that here. If we keep going like this and keep the sprit to go with the quality, we have enough to go there.
“I am not the stand-out player, we are playing well and everyone is playing well as individuals and as part of the team. That’s why so many people are coming to see us and are curious at what’s happening at the Liberty. It is because we are playing well as a team.
“And it is the same when you hear of interest from other clubs – if we were at the bottom nobody would be mentioning our names. That is why I do not look into any of this and I am just concentrating on my football because I am playing well.
“But I can do better and the team is playing well but deserves more points than we have.
“Tuesday was disappointing for us because we wanted to get into the quarters, but that didn’t happen and we will forget about it and move on.”
