Swansea City’s enigmatic striker Jason Scotland has expressed his mounting frustration as the Swans secured a 6th successive draw at Blackpool on Saturday,
Fast becoming draw specialists, Roberto Martinez’s men will be hoping that the boxing day clash against Chris Coleman’s Coventry will end the clubs streak without a win but the Trinidad And Tobago international has revelled his delight in his return to goal scoring form but has been disappointed at the squads inability to turn good performances into winning ones as he told the WM, he said, โ Iโm happy to be getting goals, but it takes the shine off it when we donโt win.โ
He added, โIโd rather I didnโt score and we won because then we would start climbing the table and be up where we want to be.Obviously Iโm delighted with the goal against Blackpool. But Iโm not happy with the result because six draws on the trot is not looking good for us.We always play the better football, but we donโt always get three points. That was the case on Saturday and we were disappointed to come home with just a point.โ
As last seasons top goal scorer in in league one, Scotland wants to work hard and net as many goals as possible over the next month but has not been drawn over his goal target for the season, he said โItโs a good tally at the moment, but Iโm looking for more.Iโm not going to tell people my target yet, maybe after Christmas. I just want to get my head down and try to get as many goals as possible for the team. That’s my priority over the next month.โ
