The Swansea City defender has been part of a mean defence which has conceded little in the last eight games – all of which have been drawn equalling a football league record.

And as they head to Burnley tonight Rangel believes that it is only a matter of time before the results that they deserve start coming.

Speaking to the Western Mail ahead of the game, Rangel said “The fact we have not conceded goals in our last two games is a good point for us

“What we need really are the goals now and to keep other things the same.

“I think if we can get that together we are going to win a lot of games.

“You cannot blame the strikers or those in midfield if we are not scoring goals because we are a team.

“We just need to keep doing what we are doing and then goals will come, I am sure of that.

“It has something to with fortune, you need good fortune at times. We are making chances though and it is down then to good fortune or bad fortune whether you score or not.

“Scoring goals is the hardest thing to do in the game.

“You can see our draws in two ways: the good or the bad way,” said Rangel.

“We are not losing, but we are not getting the points we perhaps deserve. Football though is always unpredictable and you don’t know what is going to happen.

“I think the main problem has been that we are dropping points in the last few minutes of games. We have to be as strong in the end of games as we are before that.

“I think they were one of the best sides we have faced so far in this division,” added Rangel.

“To be honest they surprised me when we played against them at the Liberty Stadium

“They are very organised and they try to play football all the time and keep the ball on the floor as much as they can.

“You cannot see many sides like this in the division I think. It is always direct balls, but they play differently from that.

“It’s going to be a good game I think because they play a little bit like us. We will see two teams trying to keep the ball and get forward, but who are also very good defensively.

“They have had a good season so far, but we are going there to take all three points.”
