The Swansea City goalkeeper told the Evening Post “I never pay much attention at the beginning of the season, but my feeling is that we’ve made a better start
“We have more points on the table, but it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
“Our home form is really good. All the games we had, apart from the last one, we’ve scored in and won.
“Then last week we had our first victory away so all round I think it’s a better start to previous seasons and it’s something to build on.
“We’re a more mature squad now, we’ve progressed again and step by step we’re progressing still,” said the 29-year-old.
“We have all the ingredients to do well, we have quality from back up to front.
“We can get great results away from home if we believe in ourselves and play as a team โ that’s what Swansea have always been about.
“We can score a lot of goals, but the key is to play as a team. Then it can be a great season.
“Let’s hope we can start well after the international break because we have a couple of big games coming up.
“Hopefully all the little injuries we’ve got will be sorted out and the squad will come back stronger.”
