Swansea City have agreed a fee for Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly
Cliftonville confirmed via their official site that they have agreed a fee and the player is now free to discuss terms with the Swans ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window.
The statement via their website read Cliftonville Football Club jave this evening accepted a bid from Swansea City FC for Rory Donnelly.
The 19-year-old leads the Club’s goalscoring charts with 17 strikes to his name this season and, following discussions with the Welsh Premier League outfit in recent times, the Club have now granted the player permission to speak with representatives from the Liberty Stadium.
“It;s with a heavy heart that we have decided to accept Swansea’s bid but we can’t stand in Rory’s way,” said Chairman Gerard Lawlor
“It’s a good deal for the Club and for the player and I would personally like to place on record my sincere thanks to Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins for the respect he has shown our Club throughout this process.
“In addition and assuming Rory is able to agree terms, all at Cliftonville FC would like to wish him all the very best in his future career.”
