Brendan Rodgers said his side went to sleep during their 3-2 home defeat to Norwich

Rodgers said after the gameย “We weren’t at our best today

“We went to sleep in the first period of the second half and Norwich are a team that scores goals, and if you don’t do your jobs properly then they’ll punish you.

“It was a close first half, but we managed to score an outstanding goal we nearly went two goals up but for a great bit of defending.

“We were unfortunate not to get anything at the end, but congratulations to Norwich because this is a difficult place to come and that’s great credit to our players.

“They (Norwich) play with no fear and have players that can score goals,” he said. “But I thought we missed Joe today because of what he brings to the group.

“We’ve had so many good days here and sometimes we’ll have an off day, but I can’t complain because the players have been incredible.

“But come the next game we’ll be motivated to do well and bounce back like we do so often.”
