As expected with the impending arrival of Finley Burns from Manchester City, Brandon Cooper is on his way out of SA1 with Wales Online reporting that he will complete a loan move to Swindon Town.
It was reported yesterday evening that the Swans were about to secure the loan move for Burns and he is expected to arrive here tomorrow afternoon which means he could be under consideration for a place in Tuesday’s match squad when we welcome Luton to the Swansea.com Stadium.
Cooper had a very good loan spell at Newport last season and it is hoped that the move up the M4 will see him produce equally strong form after he has been unable to gain regular first team football at Swansea.
Cooper has made four league appearances this term but not featured in a Championship side since the end of August and it is clear now that the Swans think his development would benefit from another spell away from Swansea.
After his run of games in the first team back in August, Cooper said at the time “The gaffer has put a lot of faith in me and backed me to go out there and express myself, and he has backed me to keep doing that even if I have had difficult moments.
โItโs been a big change, but I am enjoying it, and I think all the other lads are too.
โWe know there is still a lot of work to do, but I think the more time we get to work on things the better itโs going to get. I am just really pleased to be able to play my part.โ
Swansea and Wales U21 defender Brandon Cooper is set to join Swindon Town on loan, with Finley Burns due to sign from Man City tomorrow. #Swans https://t.co/AVFsHUFtCi
