Covid pass rule to be scrapped ahead of Bournemouth game

The rule that says fans need to show a Covid pass to get into sports stadiums in Wales is to be scrapped from 18th February under the new Covid guidelines issues by the Welsh government.

It is the latest step in the easing of Covid restrictions announced by the government which also include a lifting on the requirement to wear masks in many venues.

The lifting of this ruling means that Sunday’s game against Bristol City will be the last game where a Covid pass is required – the Swans next home fixture is against Bournemouth on February 22.

First Minister Mark Drakeford said he was “confident that coronavirus rates are falling and we can look forward to brighter times ahead”.
