The Swans will now face Dundee United on Saturday to round off their Scottish training camp ahead of a return to league action against Norwich a week on Saturday.

The date was originally planned for a behind closed doors friendly against Rangers but now it seems as if this game replaces that one and supporters will be allowed in for the fixture.

It was a winning start to the camp this afternoon when Russell Martin’s side beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle and they will now travel north to face Dundee United on Saturday with tickets available for the fixture should anyone wish to attend.

The two-time Scottish Cup winners have elected to allow access to supporters of both clubs to watch the two teams as they step up preparations for the return to competitive action after the World Cup break.

Joel Piroe and Jay Fulton were on target today as the Swans beat Hearts with coach Matt Gill saying after the gameย “It was very pleasing.

The boys have had a bit of time off since the Huddersfield game, and we had a week of training last week before travelling up on Monday.

“It was a really good exercise for us, a good work-out and an opportunity to build the minutes up before we restart.

“There were really good performances in there too, although there is plenty of stuff still to work on.

“I think it is easy to take for granted how long travelling days can be, so for the lads to apply for them as they did is great, although we knew they would because of the attitude they bring every day.

“It was great to give the young boys some minutes in a great setting, to continue the work the lads had put in during the first hour.

“We felt we needed to break this period up a little bit, we have come back together and this is an opportunity to come away together to work, to spend time together and build towards the restart of the Championship.”
