The Trust And All That

The battle was fought with dignity by everyone from the members of the Trust, the internet fraternity of which many are Trust members and general supporters who the Trust wish to target to become the next members. Y

ou are going to see a lot more activity from the Trust. The next stage is FUND RAISING, The aim of the Trust is to get a seat on the board, and to do that we need hard cash. Soon you will hear that dreaded thud on the door mat from the postman delivering raffle tickets, which we hope you will all get involved in, be it buying or selling, we all need to do our bit.

I have read with interest many of the wonderful ideas both on this site and Gary Martinsร‚ยน, keep ’em coming, Iร‚ยนm sure that the powers that be look at the merits of them all. My own suggestion would be that everyone collects all their coppers, keep them in a jar until there is enough to make a sizeable contribution, how many times have you been down the pub only to return feeling slightly worse for wear with a bulging pocket full of shrapnel, SAVE IT and DONATE IT together this could be quite a large sum.

Now with Mel Nurse at the helm, Iร‚ยนm sure the fortunes of Swansea City will be on the up and with us all signing from the same hymn sheet things can only get better. I read in the paper the other night about Mel coming out of retirement to help his beloved Swans in their hour of need, back in the 70s, he was earning ร‚ยฃ20 a week from playing football and had to pay someone ร‚ยฃ50 a week to run his business, that to me says it all.

With a few exceptions, I donร‚ยนt think youร‚ยนll find modern day players doing that.

Finally, the Trusts motto is get involved – be involved, I would just like to add to that and say STAY INVOLVED.
