• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

looking at the 6 goals we have conceded in the last 2 games we seem to be beaten by pace every time, our defenders seem so sluggish

On top of that discussion, there is no competition for places there. Wood/Cabango are basically un dropable and whoever feeds their egos..they will carry on stealing a wage.

Yes, we probably do. Maybe if Pederson had stayed fit for Wednesday it might be a close thing.

If Darling is fit he should replace 1 of them

Probably but I'd stick with Naughton until Key is fit & get Darling in as centre back.

Probably the slowest in the entire football league.

A distinct lack of pace coupled with the fact that they are usually stood in the wrong place = regular shipping of three, four, five goals per game.

I like Tymen, he’s direct and pacey and gets forward well. Then you’re talking the other three positions. We’ve certainly missed key at right back and then Darling should be one of our central defenders. Then you’ve got the calamitous duo of Cabango and Wood. Which is our weakest point.
A dominant ball playing centre back is a must for the summer.

Pace wise they are way off, more worrying is their football intelligence. Over the years some of the best centre halves haven't necessarily been the fastest, but their understanding and ability to read the game makes up for it. Unfortunately Wood and Cabango are slow paced and slow thinkers. Both stealing a living at this level.

Rodon and Ampadu looked like they had an extra 30 seconds each on the ball on Tuesday

Not sure pace matters, they just aren't very good especially the two we have played at centre backs over the past few games

All 4 of our centre back options lack pace, aggression, positional awareness, football intelligence and technical ability on the ball.

It doesn't matter whether they've been played as partnerships in a back 4, or as a trio in a back 3, nothing works, nothing can cover for their myriad deficiencies.

They are all just not very good players for this level, it is as simple as that.

Cabango fckn about giving them the first goal, lost count of times that's happened. Arrogance can be the only reason he doesn't learn.
