Would have been a good squad player, but wages offered would have been low for that option, same as Pato good options from the bench but wages need to reflect that and they won’t accept it.

Good luck to the lad. The Messiah froze him out first time around and he wanted to come back here on loan last season. Should have started more games as he's a better striker than Liam and Jerry. All this "impact player" stuff is bollocks. He would have scored more goals if he started more matches.

Have to agree.. but this shows how many square pegs we had in the squad.

Going by our signings last summer, I'm not hopeful we'll sign players any better than Lowe, so I would have been quite happy to have him back.

He was fine in a team, but looked well out of place last year with our collection of individuals. Certainly not worth pursuing based on that.
He's definitely championship level and will get Wednesday a few goals, but at a rich price.
Wednesday to go down, lump on.

Jamal is a good player but his wages are too high for the merry cans. It is a gamble not getting him as you know what you are getting and no stupid high transfer fee. The need is greater as Yates is gone so there has to be at least two coming the other way.

Every club needs a 15 to 20 goal striker, Jamal Lowe isn't a 15 to 20 goal striker, and never will be...
Right, we can replace Lowe's 9-10 goals a season at far lower wages than he'd cost.

Decent player, but he's not a 'killer'. None of our strikers are - someone who has a blood-lust for goals. I think Langstaff is that kind of player. Granted we rarely played Lowe as a main striker, so the comparison isn't entirely fair, but we need that killer up front - our strikers are too soft.

Mcburnie would be ideal as a hard man type striker and would get us at least 15 to 20 guaranteed, but he's out of our budget by a long way.

Jamal hate is absurd

Certainty for 10 goals a season and covers a number of positions

Good
Player for us and disappointed he's going
