• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I was up in Manchester for gigs the previous two weekends. The first was some internet fella called CG5 that my 11-year old wanted to see. Does songs based on Five Nights at Freddys and the like. Not my cup of tea at all, but only lasted an hour and the lad loved his first ever concert, so can't complain.

Then last Friday it was the Strumbellas at the Bread Shed. Tiny venue with probably less than 200 of us in there, but I thought they were great and one of the best concerts I've been to in a long time (not that I got to many!).

The wife convinced me to go see Me First and the Gimme Gimmes with her in Bristol in early December, so that's the next one. For 2025 we passed on Oasis to instead relive our teenage years by seeing the Manics and Ocean Colour Scene instead. Looking forward to both of those.

Any fans of Black Stone Cherry & Skillet? Ticketmaster offering half price tickets along with buy one get one free on tickets for the Cardiff show next week.

Will shortly be setting off for Cardiff to see my favourite band, Within Temptation from the Netherlands, at the Utilita Arena this evening. Bought the ticket over a year ago so it's been quite a long wait.

How was the gig?
Excellent thanks. I don't think I was in the best place for sound as I was too near the front and most of the stuff that was coming out of the PA was almost behind me or at least level with me and really should have been slightly further back IMO but it wasn't bad enough to warrant moving as I had a great view even through the dozens of mobile phones 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 However, visually, it was astonishing. Updated my avatar with a pic I took there. 😁
